I am a digital artist with a traditional background. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Studio Art, I dived immediately into studying Photoshop (version 4 back then!). Ever since, I have primarily pursued working in the digital arts, both 2D and 3D, utilizing programs ranging from Painter to Pixologic's ZBrush.
These days, Manga Studio occupies most of my time (the latest version serving as a spiritual successor to an old favorite of mine, PaintTool SAI. I have had the privilege of beta-testing ZBrush (version 3.5r3, as well as the PaintStop and UV Master plugins) and used to have a modest reputation on the ZBrushCentral forums (username: Marsyas).
I created this blog to share some of the tips and tricks I have learned over the years using the programs mentioned above. If I occasionally sprinkle some of my own art into the mix, I plan to include work-in-progress pics or tutorials alongside them.
